Sal Baba with author and family in 1989.
In January of 196B, Mrs. Rajagopal, Diana's mother told me about
a man so wise and almighty that one's life became deep and meaningful in
his presence. This so intrigued me that within a week my wife and I were in
India and in the presence Of Sathya Sai Baba.
Now, some 22 years later and after time spent with him each year,
I can only say that his wisdom, the abundance and breadth ot his love for
all beings, and his Seemingly limitless power SO vastly transcends my
worldly experience that to me and to a multitude Of people Sathya Sai Baba
is beyond human comprehension. In the ancient tradition ot India they have
a word for it: "Avatar", meaning a direct expression of Divine Grace.
Diana tells a superb Story about day-to-day life in Sathya Sai Baba's
household and those people who were close around him. NO other western
person has been privileged to have such a priceless experience. Diana's
story is matchless and will fascinate readers tor years to Come—for cen-
tunes to come—in my humble opinion.
